Local businesses were also hit hard, with traders in areas like the Trade Fair and Badagry Expressway witnessing significant losses.

Emergency services, including the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), the fire service, and the police, have been deployed to assist those trapped by the flooding. Ibrahim Farinloye, the Territorial Coordinator of NEMA in the Southwest, advised residents in heavily affected areas to seek alternative routes and avoid waterlogged streets.Residents are urged to stay indoors, if possible, turn off and unplug electrical appliances, and move valuable items to higher ground to prevent water damage. It is also essential to avoid contact with floodwater, which may be contaminated, and to use treated or boiled water to avoid waterborne diseases.
