UAC Promotes Literacy in Primary Schools with Book Donation Drive
UAC of Nigeria PLC has taken a significant step towards enhancing early childhood education in underserved communities by donating books to primary schools. This initiative reflects the company’s commitment to sustainable development and educational equity.
Supporting Education in Lagos Island
The book donation drive was officially launched on November 25 at Anglican Girls Seminary Primary School and Cathedral Primary School, both located on Lagos Island. Over 120 students received books aligned with the national primary school curriculum to aid their learning and academic growth. Speaking at the event, UAC’s Chief Operating Officer, Queenette Durosinmi-Etti, emphasized the importance of early education in fostering sustainable development. At UAC of Nigeria PLC, we believe that early childhood education is the cornerstone of sustainable development, she said. This project is part of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy to tackle literacy challenges and provide equitable access to educational materials.
Commitment to Social Impact
The book donation is just one of UAC’s many CSR initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life in Nigerian communities. According to Durosinmi-Etti, UAC’s CSR efforts also extend to programs in pediatric healthcare and community development, reflecting the company’s dedication to creating lasting social impact. These initiatives align with UAC’s broader mission of addressing critical societal challenges and empowering future generations through education and healthcare.
Education is the most powerful tool for shaping a brighter future. At UAC of Nigeria PLC, we are committed to empowering young minds through access to quality learning resources and fostering sustainable development in our communities.
