Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde

The Oyo State Government has officially announced the release of the 2024 screening and placement results for primary six pupils moving to Junior Secondary Schools (JSS) and Schools of Science. This is an important step for pupils who recently completed their primary education and are ready to transition to the next level.

How to Access the Results

In a statement released on Tuesday, the state Commissioner for Education, Science, and Technology, Salihu Adelabu, provided clear instructions on how the results can be accessed. According to the Commissioner, head teachers and principals are advised to visit the Local Inspector of Education (LIE) offices in their respective areas to collect the screening and placement results for their pupils.

Special Instructions for Science School Pupils

For pupils who applied to Schools of Science, the process is slightly different. These students are expected to visit the specific School of Science they applied to in order to collect their screening results directly from the school. The Commissioner also mentioned that the results were actually released last week, but the formal announcement is being made now to ensure that all concerned schools and pupils are aware and can collect their results promptly. This marks an important step for the education sector in Oyo State, as it ensures a smooth transition for pupils as they move into secondary education.

The Oyo State Government is committed to ensuring a smooth transition for pupils into secondary education. The release of these screening and placement results is a crucial step in that process,” stated Salihu Adelabu, Commissioner for Education, Science, and Technology.

In conclusion, the release of the 2024 screening and placement results marks a significant milestone for primary six pupils in Oyo State. Parents, head teachers, and pupils are urged to collect their results promptly to ensure a smooth transition into Junior Secondary Schools or Schools of Science, as the state continues its commitment to advancing education.
