FRSC Warns Officers Against Extortion and Laziness in Kogi

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Kogi State has issued a strong warning to its officers, urging them to avoid extortion and laziness while performing their duties on highways. 

Commander’s Warning to Officers 

The FRSC Sector Commander in Kogi, Samuel Oyedeji, made this known during a workshop for heads of operations held at the command’s headquarters in Lokoja. He emphasized that any officer caught engaging in misconduct, such as extorting motorists or neglecting their responsibilities, will face serious consequences. This includes possible dismissal to serve as a warning to others. 

Importance of Serving Diligently 

Commander Oyedeji reminded the officers that their primary role is to serve the people of Kogi with dedication and integrity. “We are here as officers to serve diligently, and we must always keep that in mind,” he said. He urged them to avoid any actions that could harm the reputation of the FRSC and to always present the agency in a positive light to the public.
