On June 20, 2024, the Abdul Samad Rabiu Initiative for Africa (ASR Africa) and BUA Foods donated N10 million and foodstuffs to widows in Lagos to mark International Widows’ Day. The donations, distributed at the International Women Society’s (IWS) Widows Feast and Empowerment program, included IRS Pasta, IRS Semolina, and BUA Rice. Ayodele Abioye, Managing Director of BUA Foods, emphasized their commitment to social responsibility and making a positive impact beyond business. The N10 million grant and food items were distributed during the International Women Society’s (IWS) Widows Feast and Empowerment program in Lagos. The foodstuffs included IRS Pasta, IRS Semolina, and BUA Rice, aimed at alleviating the economic hardships faced by widows.
