Ajayi Crowther University Offers Three Certificates to Graduates 

Ajayi Crowther University in Oyo State now offers its graduates three certificates: a degree certificate, a Mind Education certificate, and an Entrepreneurship Training certificate. This initiative, described as unprecedented in Nigeria, was announced during a visit by Mind Education experts from China and Korea. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Timothy Adebayo highlighted that the program began after his visit to South Korea, where he observed the positive effects of mind education on youth. The program aims to combat social vices and foster personal growth among students. Activities like a Mind Education Camp are part of the curriculum, and the initiative has received international support. 

Announcement and International Collaboration 

The announcement was made during a visit by Mind Education experts from China and Korea, who were at ACU to implement the mind education project. Prof. Adebayo explained that the project started after his 2023 visit to South Korea for the International Youth Fellowship (IYF) program. There, he and other Nigerian educational leaders saw how mind education helps combat social vices in youth. Inspired by the positive results, ACU partnered with Mind Educators to bring the program to its students. Robert Udo, the project coordinator, outlined the program’s goals. The main aim is to reshape young people’s mindsets to overcome issues like sexual violence, drug abuse, and corruption. Since 2001, the IYF has helped many youths face challenges and better integrate into society. 

Activities and Curriculum Integration 

At ACU, the Mind Education program includes various activities to promote personal growth and positive thinking. Recently, ACU held a Mind Education Camp with games, dance, lectures, and other activities to help students build strong, positive mindsets. The Mind Education course is now part of ACU’s curriculum, and students must pass exams at the end of their training.The initiative has received international support, with volunteers from China and South Korea joining the program. These university students are eager to make a positive impact on Nigerian youths’ lives and learn from their hosts. This approach ensures ACU graduates are not only academically skilled but also mentally prepared to face societal challenges and contribute positively to their communities.
