339 Students Earn First-Class Degrees at Covenant University

In a remarkable achievement, 339 students at Covenant University, Ota, Ogun State, were awarded First-Class degrees during the university’s 19th convocation ceremony on Friday. This year’s event, themed “Release of Eagles for 2024,” celebrated the academic excellence and hard work of students across various disciplines. 

Record-Breaking First-Class Graduates 

The Registrar of Covenant University, Mrs. Regina Tobi-David, made the exciting announcement during the convocation and prize-giving ceremony. She revealed that this is the first time in the history of the institution that such a high number of students have graduated with First-Class honors. The milestone demonstrates the university’s commitment to academic excellence and innovation, setting new standards in Nigerian higher education. 

Total Graduates in 2024 

A total of 1,607 students graduated from Covenant University this year, including 1,456 undergraduate students and 151 postgraduates. The large number of graduates reflects the institution’s growth and the increasing opportunities for young Nigerians to receive quality education.
