The Anambra State Government has awarded a full-time scholarship to an eight-year-old mathematics prodigy, Master Chukwuemeka Nwuzor. This announcement came after a viral video showcased Chukwuemeka’s exceptional math skills, solving complex mathematical problems with ease.
Meeting with the Governor’s Wife
Dr. Nonye Soludo, the wife of the state governor, announced the scholarship after meeting Chukwuemeka and his family at the Governor’s Lodge in Amawbia. She stated that the scholarship would cover the boy’s education from primary school to any level he chooses to attain. Chukwuemeka gained attention when a video of him answering advanced mathematical questions correctly went viral. Mrs. Soludo, upon learning that the boy is from Nibo in Awka South Local Government Area, initiated a search to locate his family.
Verification of Talent
At the Governor’s Lodge, Mrs. Soludo met with Chukwuemeka, his father, and his younger brother. She tested his skills by asking him various mathematical questions, all of which he answered accurately. Mrs. Soludo announced her commitment to sponsoring Chukwuemeka’s education and providing mentorship to help him realize his full potential. She emphasized the importance of nurturing his talent without undue pressure.
